Gail Greenbaum is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with children and adolescents who face emotional and behavioral challenges. These children have self control and self esteem issues that interfere with social development, coping skills and their ability to manage their anger. Many kids need guidance dealing with school stressors like test anxiety, peer pressure and bullying. Others need help to discuss their feelings and family issues when there is a major life transition.
Gail is able to make a home visit to provide counseling in appropriate situations. This enables children to receive therapy in the comfort and safety of their own home. It also can allow for additional family involvment and enable Gail to observe families in their own environments. She also provides therapy in the traditional office setting.
As a graduate of NYU's Master's program, Gail upholds the philosophy of the social work profession and its core values which believe in the dignity and worth of each person, and the importance of healthy relationships.
She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and served as a board member from 2007-2009.
