Beth Sonnenberg, MSW, LCSW is a licensed clinical therapist who has been in private practice for the past 12 years working with people who feel anxious, depressed, stressed, frustrated or just plain “stuck” in their lives. She focuses on helping clients deal with the emotions that result from life transitions like career changes, re-locations, marriage and relationship difficulties and parenting.
The therapeutic relationship Beth builds with her clients focuses on helping them recognize problematic thinking patterns in dealing with everyday life stress and change the resulting behavior in an empowering, motivating, creative, warm and non-judgmental environment. Beth has worked in many settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, partial hospital day programs and outpatient therapy settings. After receiving her master's degree from Columbia University, she received a postgraduate training certificate from the National Institute of Psycho-therapies. She is a member of the American Group Psychotherapy Associates and the National Association of Social Workers.
Beth provides short and long term individual psychotherapy and couples counseling. She also conducts therapy sessions via phone and Skype when patients can't make it to sessions in person. In addition, she accept almost every type of health insurance.”
